I’ll Be Here

The Eclectic Poet

Will you come to me tonight
I’ll be waiting up for you
Let’s walk the river pathways
Like we used to do

Lets shelter under the live oak
Where no prying eyes can see
My body aches for your touch
Unwrap yourself for me

Your lips still taste the same
As you bend your mouth to mine
Whiskey kisses seasoned now
With experience and time

Refresh the lessons not forgotten
Only held in check until this hour
Slake this raging, growing thirst
With your own demanding ardour

Bodies crash together fiercely
Truth speaks in sweat and seed
Time reveals we are a diamond
Unwrap yourself for me
