K: Kingma Recommends Kisses!

true love

In True Love: How to Make Your Relationship Sweeter, Deeper and More Passionate, Daphne Rose Kingma offers more than 60 inspiring and illuminating suggestions to help you expand the possibilities of your own true love.

One of the suggestions in the book is: SHOWER EACH OTHER WITH KISSES.

She writes:

“They are the sweetest, simplest, common denominator expression of love. Whenever we give them to one another we are nurturing our bond.”

She explains how she feels how kisses convey a multitude of meaning; from the realm of sexual intimacy, to a connection of affection and also how they can impart wordless, mundane thoughts such as ‘Honey, I’m home,’ ‘Congratulations,’ ‘I adore you,’ all the way to ‘I’m sorry.’

She concludes with:

“Kisses are the food of love. They make us feel…kissed. Chosen, desirable, powerful, beautiful, sensual, joyful, happy, carefree, invincible, LOVED. Kisses lift the…

Transition

Seeing Beyond the Ordinary

To you my love I say goodbye,

to you my love my spirit cries.

The time is nigh,

yet I do not know,

why I must leave

the earthly realm,

the oceans, the sky,

the mountains covered in snow.

Our love remains through eternity,

of that ideal we can be sure.

My heart is torn in pieces now,

my soul cries out…

it is our fate.

It is my path,

my setting sun…

to leave the other half

of me…

to leave the one who set me free.

Fear not the destiny of two,

that one doth leave

the other behind,

we will meet again,

our hearts entwined.

The Virgin Romance Novelist

The Review

This is another book that was recommended to me, by my Aunt, and I put it on my reading list where it stayed for quite some time. Then all of a sudden this was a book I had to read, so I ordered it on Amazon (because it isn’t in Barnes and Noble). I had an idea of what this book was going to be about from the back of the book and of course my Aunt but I didn’t even realize what this book was. Fair warning: it has a sex scene that puts Fifty Shades of Grey to shame… That should give you a decent idea! 24497054

Rosie Bloom is an aspiring romance novelist who is a shy, caring, beautiful, a journalist, and a virgin. That seems to be the problem when writing the intimate scenes, she has no experience to go off of. With the help of her…

Dream a little Dream – Giovanna Fletcher

It'saliterarylife

Dreams really can be amazing.

Dream a little dream is Giovanna Fletcher’s third novel and was widely anticipated following her first two bestsellers, ‘Billy and Me’ and ‘You’re the one that I want’. Although she is a highly dedicated wife and mother, Giovanna always finds time to write, despite her increasingly busy schedule. This book is for an adult (or young adult) audience and Giovanna’s writing certainly suits and reflects this. Despite knowing how a typical romance novel runs, Giovanna always takes a particular idea to explore in each of her novels; this is why I like her so much as an author. In this case, she considers the notion of dreams and their potential significance. This idea definitely intrigued me throughout the novel.

Having only discovered Giovanna’s books after her first two had been out for some time, I was amongst those anticipating the release of this one. The…
